Giving as usual top priority to safety, OMP announces a voluntary recall and replace campaign for the units of RC-T child seat (cod. HA/804) coming from the latest batch, which was put for sale from the 6th of May 2019 on.
The campaign has been set up as OMP got news of a dynamic test performed by RWC Institute on a child seat which was not OMP branded but was manufactured by the same supplier in the same month of the latest batch we received. During that test an anomaly was found in the behavior of the backrest in the Group 1 configuration.
OMP pays particular attention to its suppliers’ production, in order to make sure they meet OMP’s quality and safety standards. That’s why we decided, as a precautionary measure, to recall and replace all the units from the most recent RC-T batch, which was put up for sale on 6/5/2019.
A seat from that batch is uniquely recognizable from these properties:
1) It must have been retired from your dealer not before May 6, 2019.
2) The side of the external packaging featuring the technical informations (group, weight, age, anchorage system…) also features a long text (21 lines, 8 paragraphs) whose first words are “This is a Universal child restraint…”
3) The number of the OMP hologram sticker on the bottom of the seat is between 00060021 and 00060500.
The seats that don’t match these points are not involved in the campaign.
We invite the owners of the involved seats to contact their dealer, who will collect the seat and proceed to replacement.
Simultaneously, we are conducting intensive verifications with the supplier in order to guarantee the best quality on OMP branded products.
