OMP Racing and Mahindra Racing announce a new multi-year partnership, bringing together the race-winning Indian team competing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and the Italian company, a world leader in safety devices for motorsport.
The deal will see OMP supply racewear, including racing suits, boots, gloves and underwear for the Mahindra Racing drivers and also techwear for the team’s mechanics, as well as the team’s travel luggage. The drivers, Alex Lynn and Alexander Sims, will be wearing all latest top specification products from the Italian firm, with all the items in compliance with the latest FIA 8856-2018 homologation standards, which became mandatory for all the competitors of Formula E at the beginning of Season 6.
Paolo Delprato, OMP Racing’s President and CEO: “Formula E has finally gained its well-deserved World Championship status, and also finally here we are at the starting line with a prestigious partnership such as this one with Mahindra Racing. We have been working hard to provide high quality products to an important team competing in a top-class series”.
Dilbagh Gill, Mahindra Racing Team Principal and CEO: “We are delighted to welcome OMP to the Mahindra Racing family as our official supplier of driver wear, a brand with such a fantastic reputation across all global motorsport championships and now, joining Formula E for the first time. Like us, they share a passion for technology and innovation through ground-breaking platforms like the ‘Driver’s Eye’ camera in Formula E and we look forward to exploring other exciting new concepts together through our partnership.”
