On top with thrill

The brightest of saturdays and the scariest of sundays. This is Petter Solberg's Canadian weekend in a nutshell, with the necessary clarification that the Norwegian has ended the round on top of overall classification.

On day 1 of Grand Prix Trois Riviéres, Solberg won 3 out of 4 qualification rounds. An incredible comeback for the reigning champion, who had just experienced a slight crisis in the latest races. Solberg gained 16 intermediate points this way.

Day 2 began with the same pace, with Solberg winning his semi-final, but the race was not so good for the Norwegian. After a poor start, Solberg found himself behind the leaders and finished P5.

Scare broke up a few seconds after crossing the finish line, when Petter was involved in a crash. Solberg was taken to the hospital and rallycross fans waited for news with bated breath. Finally, Solberg himself published a reassuring selfie on the web with the caption: "We are leading the Championship!!! I just want to let all of you know that I'm ok". Every motorsport fan hopes he recovers quickly enough for France, next 3 of september.
